perhaps you could thin out the hair a bit and give him a lighter underbelly like in this pic i googled

I was browsing through images of animals today looking for my own idea for the contest. I found a cute picture of a squirrel and thought, “Wow, it would be great if someone would make a squirrel”, among many other creatures I haven’t seen yet. I nearly overlooked this entry. It’s very cool. Excellent idea, and the texture is coming along nicely. Keep it up.
