Okay, an update; made a first attempt at his coat (the hands suck, I know) :slight_smile:

pretty much finished with the modelling, though I need to tweek some more things (currently at about 2600 tris)

It seems like the arms are too short and yes the hands are not that great…
you should work on the smothingroups and take some reference pics for the other parts of its body the proportions seem to be a bit off… like the head is too big if you compare it whit the picture… then add more details like the mouth and more hair cause it don’t look like he has rastas…

The hair I was leaving till the last. I’ll probably chance to an alpha map instead. As for the smoothinggroups, LOL, let’s call it a limitation of Blender (only support is completely smoothed or autosmooth with a degree limit). Proportions I had noticed myself, but I’ve not really found a clear from photo ref yet.

Pretty much finished with skinning and UV unwrapping (neither very good though, still some bugs to work out). I’m not sure I’ll eventually enter it, but it’s been fun
Textures still coming.
