You guys almost had me unlurking for the last one. I played the home game and modeled Carl from ATHF. I’ll try my best to bring half the game you guys do.
But here he is, that Devourer of Planets, the guy in the purple pajamas, rightful owner of the Ultimate Nullifier, give it up for Galactus.
Thanks guys, It was either him or Unicron. And I’ve already started (never finished) Unicron before this. Here he is after about 1.5 hours.
Any comments on geometry are very appreciated. Never seriously made any low poly work before. Thisis as far as I got last time playing along at home. And he still needed some optimizing.
A little over 30 minutes later… Just roughing in shapes. I think I may have to concept a bit to get him away from the skirt look. Not really a good idea for the super cosmic villian on the go, especialy for ones with the power of flight. Maybe turn it into a manly kilt?

2292 triangles right now. Decided to stick with the skirt. The best alternative was to bring in the toga he used to wear before he became the big guy. That sounded even more goofy :rolleyes: so I went for sticking to the original design.
I don’t think I can get rid of enough poly to make a prop Silver Surfer as his herald so I might as well continue investing on details. I am a bit overwhelmed by the normal mapping as a low poly noob so I may just try to go a bump map route. Thanks for any Crits.
He looks good Ingram. I think you can afford to add some of the extra stuff he has in the more modern drawing of him. Give him more shape at the knees.
ingram model coming along very nicely, with 700 + tries to spare, dude make it look even better then it does already and add those tries to make more detail on the model.
