Game Art Challenge #10: Ship monster truck with huge cannons.

I am doing a ship (front) with a huge monster truck like tires with a huge cannon on top and plow in the front. The weapon is a huge ship double cannon on top. I will have counter weights and balancing legs that extend when it is preparation to shoot. The character I am not sure yet but I have some ideas that might be cool making a robot character. Not mean looking or badass just like regular robot that also wears clothing. So a humanized robot

Just putting my space here just in case somebody has this idea already I want to beat them to the punch hehe.

I started with a totally different idea when I saw this contest but it just did not feel post apoc enough… And I wanted something a lot more wierd. I have a quick sketch but ill be drawing the real thing this weekend and posting it here.

Putting this ref stuff so you can at least have an idea of where I am going with this :slight_smile:

That will be huge but what about textures? If a player is human sized and walks up to the ship one pixel will be like 20 feet tall, unless you think of something to do about that. This is an awsome concept but texturing might be a downfall since the limit is 1024?

Lots of things came up lol I was all excited about this contest hehe…

I still have the concept drawing half done and it looks awesome so far just have not had time to finish it.

Either way I will do it but it will not be for this contest.

And this depends on the game your making it for. If the model is kind of far away or a prop for lets say an RPG like Fallout you can fake a lot of details with just hints. Thats what I was thinking about more so.

Up close it would look pretty bad. Since I will not do this for the contest anymore I might do this another way texture wise.
