Hi, I couldnt resist this one. I want to use this comp as a normal mapping exercise. I am very busy atm but I’m gonna try really hard to get it done on time.
Story:
In the world of tomorrow, there is no government, only farmers and everyone else. Much of the world has become arid wasteland and is unsuitable for growing crops. This was mostly due to natural disasters becoming rampant worldwide due to global warming, as well as man’s indifference to the state of the environment. Destruction caused by large scale war was also responsible for adversely affecting the state of the Earth.
However, some areas of the world were lucky enough to escape all of this. These areas are home to hardened farmers used to defending their land and resources. Throughout the world exist only a few of these “Mega-Farms” that sustain the remaining population of the earth. They also store most of whats left of fossil fuels like diesel and heating oil. Typically, people would line up for kilometers to barter for flour and fresh water. These commodities aren’t cheap either.
Rebel groups have banded together and believe that they should be exempt from “paying”. These groups are a constant source of pestilence to farmers, who have resorted to employing men to guard the perimeters of their land in exchange for daily commodities. Once respected members of high society are now directly competing for the exact same scrap of food with the guy that used to clean their office windows or wash their car. Therefore, to an extent, inequality has been removed and only the farmers are able to lead a plentiful although stressful life.
Vehicle:
Constructed from various pieces of farm equipment, including some specialised parts, the 8850 is capable of dealing with rebel groups long before they reach the actual perimeters of the farms.
-200hp turbo diesel engine
-Articulated in the center
-Shock absorbers double as hydraulic pistons to control suspension height
-Independant crawler tracks capable of climbing 90 degree surfaces as high as 60cm
-Top mounted, remote controlled long-range rifle
-Rifle fires high explosive rounds
-Ammo box carries 120 rounds
