You’ve worked in broadcast, here’s a unique project to get a start in film… or maybe you’re just getting started…
We’re seeking F/X artists for post production on highly unusual indie 35mm short,
THE HEART IS A HIDDEN CAMERA. The piece is surreal, dreamlike, and
incredibly ambitious given shoestring budget. The film’s F/X supervisor is
an experienced compositor at ILM and Weta (his credits include KING KONG,
STARS WARS EPISODE III, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN etc.). The director has
directed many music videos and award-winning shorts.
The film seeks to create a visual metaphor for how memory
functions using still tile sets, high speed photography, virtual 3D camera
moves, and painting on the images by hand. Seeking:
-5 compositors (there will be a lot of 2.5D compositing in Shake and AE)
-3 rotoscopers
-someone with Maya particle experience
-a digital matte painter
-a pyro technician for photographing explosion elements
Walk away with an amazing piece for your reel, as
well as contacts with a serious and talented group of filmmakers committed
to moving forward with two feature scripts and other music video work.
