Game (Fictional): Evolutions

Character: Darwin

Description: Human/primate Hybrid with enourmous physical strength

Story: at the age of 52, 2 years after having published ‘On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection’ and having difficulty getting his controversial views accepted he experimented crossing the 2 species trying to prove his point. Not lucky in finding test subjects he performed the experiment on him self, crossbreeding genes from primates with his own. unfortunately this experiment had two sides of a coin. while proving that human and primate genes can coexist in a human body (and thus are related) it transformed him into a human with primate characteristics. His feet transformed into the well know monkeyfeet and his physical strength grew tenfold while hunging him over, not able to walk erect anymore.
His ears were misshapen as well, less formed like human ears and more like the dish-like monkey ears.

This character can also perform well fighting “a la blanca” style from street fighter 2!
damn that game had its times…
ill be keeping an eye on this one.

Hey Equinoxx you’ve chosen a great historic person for your entry! This is one of my favourite chocies so far, the pressure is on to do him justice! I’m not too keen on the concept, nice art and all but I think he should have a bit more of the scientist there! Maybe a shredded lab coat and some broken specticales? Anyway top choice I can’t wait to see more.

yeah you’re right there. I was thinking of a shredded coat myself. aso shredded pants.

I don’t know… as said, i’m not to good a concept 2D artists, so i’m quite positive the model itself will lok better.

lol now that you mention it . . . uch i’m struggling with it. as said, i’m not the best concept artists, but I’d like to think that If i try hard enough even the concept should be cool enough.
Perhaps I need to rethink a thing or two.

Perhaps I should’ve gone with my 1st idea of either nostradamus and the power of foresight or with Rasputin…

we’ll se, plenty of time to rethink.

sorry to dissapoint you, but there’s a change of plans.

It’s gonna be Rasputin.
I’m changing for the main reason that I do not feel inspired by my current idea.
I have nothing with darwin. Rasputing on the other hand is a character that never let go of me since the 1st time i heard about him.

Character: Gregory Efimovich Rasputin

Description:

Story: Poisened, shot, stabbed and drowned {with a weight]. Awaking from this ‘murder’ rasputin knew he had finally accomplished it. Suspecting that the invitation to a grand dinner was false pretence to his murder, Rasputin layed final hands on his potion that would make him near immortal. His mastery of the black arts did indeed save his life, making him near immortal. His aging halted to a mere crawl, wounds did not Kill him.

Eyes: Blind. he does not need eyes.

I’m a bit saddened that you have abandoned Darwin but hey you have to do something that holds your interest. In your concept is that knives sticking out of his sides or are they belt straps, it looks a bit unclear? I also think you should play on your idea of potions and animal nails/teeth hanging from his belt. More stuff like that would go really well I think. Also if thats a hangmans noose around his kneck then thats a cool idea, I love it!

yeah they’re Knifes, but in the model they’re not gonna be so symmetrical. and that indeed is a hangmans noose. the other end with a weight will be his weapon. think ball and chain but then rope and concrete block.

there’s more stuff gonna be hanging from his belt as well. I chose to have him in his ‘working’ outfit rather then his ‘social garment’

I’m thinking I’m gonna give him a bleu-ish grey skintone on the account of his drowning with lots of veins from being poisened. He is a living deadman so to speak.
Lots of stab & shotwounds as well.

Good work so far! I kind of always saw rasputin with a sort of sunken in skinny face. I love the face so far.:thumbsup:

well, it took a while, but I’d rather show large updates once in a while then a newly added face every day :wink:

All hair on the head is temporary, just for the feel.

skinny and dead it is. i figured being the mystic monk that he is,
he doesn’t need 'brute force’to overcome his oponents.
But I don’t want to make him so skinny he won’t be able to use his Weighted Rope weapon anymore hehe
