here’s the concept for his guns, I’m sketching up the rifles and the shotgun now
and a few other items, dynamite… and other things that I cant think of at the moment.
I think I have alittle over 6000 polygons for the weapons and Items.

I love those Gun sketches.

They remind me of the guns in Red Dead revolver.

hey I got a generic question: why do so many ppl use the grey background for concepts? And also were those sketches done digitally or scanned?

nice guns tho, I can tell you really thought about the style of them…very nice.

there done in photoshop. the grey is used for backrounds because its a neutral color,
always use a neutral backround color, grey, beige, almost anything desaturated. it makes the color values stand out i guess…

In your reference images it looks like his hat should be a little curved in some places. Your model looks extremely well balanced though…I really like it

here’s the guns, Still have a few details here and there. bullets on the belts and other shit… tommorrow I’m gonna finish mapping everything and texture the rest of the time.
together the guns come in at 2588.

Absolutely love the guns! So few polys but the result is really nice!

I like the gold gun w/plating…really cool!!

Also the silver plated rifle. I agree with the curved hat, looks awsome!

got along 3 days ahead of me, as usual I left it for the last minute. I think I will get it done though. Ill have textures ready to crit by tommorrow night. I added the bullets and reduced unecessary polys, I should now its at 14200, but I could get down about 500 more.

I fixed the hat so it looks bent. You cant really tell from the front shot though, the back is more visible.

any last critique on the geometry or anything else would be helpful now.thanks, and good luck to all those who participated.

Really looking forward to seeing this one done. great job. However, i think that those bullets look like piano keys. Perhaps if u pay attention to their placement on the belts. Also im sure texturing would take care of this. Just making sure u see it. Good work.

Very cool. The only critique I have is about his hands, they look a bit clumpy, and his fingers are a bit short.

Excellent concept art too!

got a question for anyone. are different objects allowed to share the same texture space?
right now I have the head and other objects shareing the same sheet but there all combined to one object. samething goes for the guns and the accesories they are all the same object,I trying to get them on the same sheet but in seperate objects. I hope that makes sense.
I’ll try messing around with it in the meantime.
