G.Jonkajtys animation reel 2008

this is top notch material , just wow and wow again :wip:

Thanks guys, I’m glad you liked it.
Indeed Pan’s Labyrinth was a lot of fun.

Twiik, the giant crab creature is from the MIST, there is a lot of detail to this monster that we don’t see, cause the whole scene was really foggy.

cheers

G.

Fantastyczne …

#34

I’m quite facinated by the Pan, -Fleshmonster. It looks great!
Any hints on breakdown on that one?

My guess is,
-Bluescreen, Muscle simulation, Dynamics, Zbrush, MoCap, HDRI (?)

#35

Erikals,
the “pale man” monster is infact an actor in the suit. In those shots, I have replaced his legs with cg. There was a little cloth sim done for the flabby parts of the skin, but no muscle simulation, since …well, the character didnt have any muscles left

#36

heh, and I thought it was all cg…

I appreciate you taking time to answer, cool to know how the Pro’s work

#37

erikals, and it was rendered in… Lightwave !!! hehe.
just these 3 shots though. All the rest of the show was Maya. well, almost

#38

Great mate ! 5 stars, SuperB work

/Pozdro z Polski

#39

Cool to read, I know you were a Lightwaver, (still is?)
LW has a nice renderengine, the output looks quite good I think.

Was Virtual Darkroom filter used? It produces some quite nice results I think…
Though guess it is possible to do in post, somehow, it’s a very nice LW-filter though… try it if you haven’t

I have put together a little web page for my reel, where you can see the shot breakdown, indicating what I actually did in the shots.

http://www.3dluvr.com/jonkajtys/demo/reel.html

Erikals, - Im still using LW but mostly for my personal stuff. I have switched the animation part 100% to XSI though, since … you know, skelegons… I dont even want to start here, heheh.

Rodacy: ciesze sie ze sie podoba i pozdrawiam
