WIP

  • Description:

We did it with basic camera and with no green screen (as you can notice).
Done after working hours and during christmas. We worked online during christmas break, because we live in different places. For this project 3ds max and after effects. I couldn´t find some spare place for cache file, so it´s not quite high res.
Hopefully someone will show up for the chellange, because I want to start in next one to.

Hayden Stone

WIP Thread

Here’s my animation for the Challenge, I had a rough time finishing this due to work, but I really wanted to get it done despite missing the deadline. I really enjoyed working on this and although it’s far from perfect I’m still happy with the result.

Made with 3ds Max 2014, FumeFX, Vray and After Effects

Morhaf Mehena

WIP THREAD

This shot turned out to be more difficult than I thought (first time’s always hard). The water simulation took a long time to get right (and it’s still far from perfect). And so did the fire, though the fire was a lot easier and more fun to make. I Also took some creative liberty with the title sequence. Enjoy!

I used Syntheyes, Cinema 4D (with TurbulenceFD), Realflow and After effects

Ok, so this competition is a bit weird.
And also name of Morhaf Mehena is not mentioned in the first post,
so not sure if he is in competition or not.
Also think that in next competition deadline should be a bit more respected.
Don´t say it that it should be very restricted but this schedule was moved for
a 1,5 month. I would put different timetable for my project,
and not having simulation during christmas eve :stuck_out_tongue:
I like both shots. Both of them are very different,
what makes hard for me to vote.
To make this kind of work in spare time after work or school
is realy hard.
Ok anyway if competitors can vote so I will vote on Hayden Stone.

Cheers

#8

My vote goes to Hayden Stone.

This challenge was very difficult to choose as they were all well done.

#9

Morhaf Mehena gets my vote. I liked the water effect.

Great entries everyone!

#10

Both great entries! Hayden has some great character animation and a very cool fire sim, and Tazio has a great looking composition (I love the colors of the fire and the matte painting) and some nifty little details (like the avatar state, and the fire reflecting on the model’s head). But I can only choose one, so my vote goes to Tazio!

#11

I had to watch them over and over again because all 3 are really awesome.
I am going to vote for Hayden Stone but really liked them all.

#12

It’s hard to choose the best, they all come really close.
I give my vote to Tazio.
