I’m always a sucker for a good sob story, and hate having stuff ripped off.
Also, I thought this a very cute and very imaginative “out of the box” concept for a tornado…a little toy tornado in lego land…too funny!

Jonathan Freisler, a hard call on this one, it was all about the level of detail.

It was amazing to watch all the components being put together for these entries, some very effective techniques and results, but I think that most of the work was invisable until the final result was posted. Like the sitting up late and coding scripts and hand animating 2nd and 3rd level flying debris and other turbulence effects details.
