Simply by creating a WIP I have encouraged clients to send work my way…It’s amazing how little work is generated through marketing yet as soon as I enter a challenge I’ll have a project to do and can’t finish my WIP :banghead:
ok, I don’t know how far I’ll get but I’ve just started playing around with the dynamics in Lightwave and seem to be getting somewhere. As I’ve been moving round the scene I’ve found a few nice compositions that I’d like to use and I’ve arrived at a rough concept which is:
The camera falling through the center of the funnel, being bashed about a bit and either losing signal when something hits it or getting flung out of the funnel and crash on the ground. Why the camera is falling through the funnel I haven’t decided yet but probably some kind of probe, maybe set slightly in the future or perhaps it has fallen from a reconaisance aircraft?
It should be a great oppertunity to show the tornado from three key angles, entering from the top with the swirly cloud formation, through the center with debris whizzing past (newtek cow?) and finally the funnel itself as the camera gets thrown out.
It’s quite ambitious I know but I don’t like doing things by half 
Apps used will be Lightwave for 3d and After Effects for compositing and effects.
