3D baby! thats the desert scene, the jets will race through a desert after being dropped from zeppelins!
Wow, that sounds great :bounce: maybe you could add more variety to the trees? and have a tumble weed! hehe
Don’t worry the jets will be flying by so fast you won’t notice it
here’s another update, I’ve been working on the Zeppelin today

Hey,
That looks really good, I love the feel/style of the image - really nice dude! Maybe teh front of the Zeppelin is to sharp?
the jets need a little more work (I’m talikng about their shape, it could be more agressive something like those military fight jets also more futuristic since the whole race is going to happen in the future , some more attention to the paint job, each plane should have diffrent colours and some characteristic models on them to distinguish them) … now about archer’s scenes, they rock all accept that zepelin in the clouds one, work more on the contrast and colouring…
still working on it, i started the animation today…
i decided to use scanline so i won’t have the crashing problems involved with vray… well scanline is crashing too… yay… nothing can be simple for me…
wow the deadline is May 22th. It’s coming fast. For me, I have to finish something for the same day! so pressure pressure pressure!
Thanks David! yes there’s tons of pressure! here plus school but we’ll make it
here’s a render from shot 3…

That looks cool. I like the hair.
I think the black and silver color setup is a little dull. You may want to give her some color, and textures.
The post glow you applied is to strong for such a limited selection of pixels your glowing. Either turn it down a little, or glow more of the image. If you leave it the way you have it you will have glows popping on and off, and it will be noticable.
I generally apply glow over more of the image, but keep it very light.
Thanks for the replies, I’ll work on the rendering some more
here are 2 updates;
A Shot of Scene 1

And Shot 2

Just waiting for Ruben to finish the other ships so i can progress with the rest of the animation
In the mean time I’ll work on the other scenes…
Ok here are some render tests I’ve made of the animations so far.
A test from the opening scene

And a Shot from scene 5

Enjoy!
it’s comming along very nicely! I’d say you could go lighter on the glow, seems a little too much to where everything looks a bit hazy. Are you rendering and compositing or rendering everythign together?
The shadows/dust on the planes is too dark/too sharp it makes the planes looks like toys, or very small.
Keep it up, you’ve got a lot of promise on this.
