FXWars! THE RACE!: Daniel Lezama, Contemp

Hi guys, this is my first Entry to FXWars i will try to do my best in the short time i have…

Here are my concept for the Race, i´ll use a VW that i modeled last year (not my best work but work for this lol). My idea its a DEAD RACE, 5 cars start and only one will survive…

here is my StoryBoard, and a Render of the VW i will use.

its very Rought i know lol, but have the idea… :stuck_out_tongue:

here its the car… i will fix it for the Race (to build the 5 cars i will change the Color and add some Decals on each one).

I will work in MAYA and Digital Fusion.

How many shots are you intending on making this thing? :surprised

Good luck to you, but my frenzied advice to you is to trim it down to something manageable.

LOL… thanks for the advice, I think when i start the animation i will Change a lot of things…
you know everytihng looks possible in Paper.

Good luck man, you could try and make it cel shaded to match the cartooniness you’ve got so far.

Hi guys, im in the Fixing/Render process now, here´s one animatic of my Animation (not all the animation, about 1/3) its not the final version in some shots i adjust the animation and there is no Tires movement (i set the TireSpeed to Zero for testing).

Here is a little Teaser…

Its the best Quality i could do for 640x480 in 3 min for frame. like Amigos Invisibles Said (a Venezuelan Music Band) “ESTO ES LO QUE HAY”… lol :slight_smile:

there is a problem whith the ToonLine of the Wall behind the Explotion… i have not resolve it yet :shrug:

Mr Roberto Ortiz, i think one more week will be cool, i have my Video almost done, but for todays deadline i cant add some particle Fxs like smoke, i only have the explotions, and some render glitches…

with one more week i can work to fix the glitches and add more particles Fxs. And maybe some music and sound Fx.

Well, I try it. :shrug:

Today it was impossible for me to finish the challenge… Renders Glitches, Maya’s “Fatal Error” when I try to render the Hw Particle’s Fx"…:sad:

Really good, it’s amazing you did all this in a month, and also completed all the shots. I have my issues about weigth, speed and inertia not being well represented but all in all it’s a very nice practice for you. I would advise though for next competitions to focus your work in getting the most of a single shot. Keep it up Bro:thumbsup:

Yes you are right, I’m not happy with the Final Animation… maybe I’ll do some Special Edition and fix that issues :smiley:

Yes you are totally right, i work a lot in this challenge… but its better get only one GREAT shot than 29 simple shots.

I feel good because I finish it (in the additional week deadline), but I could do a better job.
