FXWars! THE OCEAN!: LightFreeze

#1

Always fancied having a go at an ocean scene, this is just mesh at the moment, once Im happy Ill try adding some FX

wave test QT7 required

#2

WOA THAT IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!
what software and how are you doind that!

#3

Hey thanks for that

I`m using lightwave, its just a mixture of displacement and clothFX, the tricky bit will be getting the particles in the right place methinks

#4

added a boat, still to texture it and as I thought I`m having problems with the particles

test 2 QT7 required

#5

nice… james bond type scene i find!

#6

Ok got a nearly finished clip although I`m not to sure about the volumetrics, any crits or suggetions would be welcome QT7 required

#7

I find that is very cool but does that type of boat do that much splash behind it?
Id like to see some splashes in front of the boat tho!

EDIT: its more like a jetski spray

#8

I thought it was a bit too much, I`ll tone it down a bit, there is slight splashes at the front but I guess they need some work too

#9

Changed the thrust of the engine and increased the wake at the front, think I might have over did it though QT7 required

#10

how about a qt6 sorenson 3 version?

#11

That is looking awesome! I agree though that the wake infront is a little bit to large. I can hardly wait o see this one finished.

#12

nice movement there. good work.

Hope to see an update soon. The dateline is fast approaching, so you have enought time to render the final scene.

Final Entry Here, managed to add a couple more elements, not sure if the audio works but it was the best I could come up with

Its a 640x480 sorenson Video 3 but putfile defaults to 480 so just select the 640 option before it starts to download

#16

Dont forget…

FXWARS: THE OCEAN: Post your Entry!
