Hello, this is the first time for me doing an animation in a challange and I hope I can
create something useful. 3D is my hobby and I have only about 50 hours in my sparetime
to finish this (rendering overnight). I use a ship model I modeled myself about 2 years ago.
Here is a final render and some wireframes. Links to testanimation will follow soon.

Hope to finish this challange.

Forgot to say that I am doing THE SHIP :-).
Here are 2 links to my first test animations. I tried to become a feeling for
size and motion of my ship in stormy sea. Colors + Ligthing will be change for
final of course.

not bad!!
can you tell us more about the software used? renderer?
with a cool light, particles and details and secondary motion (cables, flags…) on the ship this could be great

Thanks Loran,

Everything is done in Lightwave. For the water I use a plugin named NatureFX.
You can read more about it here http://www.areteis.com . Unfortunately there is no
foam shader in the Lightwave version so I have to use procedurals.

Here is a new test picture with darker mood and some volumetric lights added.

Most of it is still wip and for testing purpose.
