Velk, yeah the colors are not right at all, that’s got to change, actually I’m letting Daniel decide on the final colors in comp. I like the way you’re thinking with the burned sleve, I just wanted to do fx that don’t carry over to the rest of the shots, like the flames can just stop and the the next shot is done too.
Dan, that’s 3 2d fluid containers, I use them to get the general speed and rough in the settings, then I’ll make one of them 3d and delete the others. the rez is 150x225. I’m useing swirl of 4 and temp turblulence of 2. I don’t use the turbulence turbulence in the fluid much, I prefer the temp turbulence. There are no magic numbers, but those are the settings I play with. it’s all about balance of values across the board from emission to resolution, dissipation, bouancy etc. like if I take someone from works fluyid container they never set the settings like I like and it is hard to get a good look from someone eles work, not sure why. they could have just one setting that you haven’t checked that changes the whole look.
When I make it 3d there are a hand full of settings that change b/c the 2d fluid doesn’t let any fluid “leak” out the z, where in 3d it leaks in every direction. so somehtings will look bertter others worse, we’ll see how goo dI can make it look.
