FXWars! OCEAN Challenge:10

I liked 3 the best, seemed a better scale for a large ship

I had problems with crashing firefox and IE too, still haven`t seen the hover clip because of this

Hmmmm, I assume that you are running QT 7 right? I’m not too sure about the browser thing, but I’ve encoded everything into a MP4 codec and have titled them appropriately, so…

wave test 1
wave test 2
wave test 3
wave test 4 - long without boat

And the Hover Test

#23

These are the last 2 tests for the bow wake. They are 2 slightly different items, but I think that this is it. Give your opinions.

Sea Test 05
Seat Test 06

That’s great, nice wace there!

Cheers,

BTW: yes, I do have QT7, and the new clips work just fine.

Quick question, does anybody know of some mpg resources of a helicopter flying over water? I want to see how the air and water is affected.

try artbeats.com
masterfile.com
getty.com
or maybe even the coast guard website!

Thanks! I spent some 5 hours last night trying to find stuff. WOW… all that for a competition that doesn’t pay… what a challenge. OH, I found out that I have a softbody calculation of 339, 352 polygons. All for 500 metres of mesh. Thank god I’m smart enough to know that I can run the boat a couple of times through the same area without the viewer knowing that it’s the same water.

I wonder how long it will take to calculate on the Dual G4 867 MHz system…

I have to say that I have to apologize for this, but I’m going to be unable to finish my entry for this contest. I’ve been having some major issues with a data file for the water wake. I’ve been fighting with it for over 1.5 weeks.

HOWEVER, I will start a thread that will kick off where this one is being left off.

My apologies. I was looking forward to completing this.
