OOOOHHH:applause:
This will look very nice. Can’t wait for the texturing.
A couple of images with some basic bump maps. I will start posting a couple of images of a ship soon as well.
yesterday I rigged the SH-60. I did a VERY quick movie of the Seahawk and only spent about 10 minutes or so. It was a quick test for me and the rigged. I have 3 morphs, rotor blades up/down, tail up/down, and landing gear up/down, AND a separate control for the rear wheel to help in producing a takeoff/ landing.
I’m seriously thinking of using Backdrop Radiosity for the renders, but I think it’s going to take too long to render so I used Lightwave’s light “render” cheat, but I have to add a few more lights and up the AA passes.
Other than that… it’s really just for me…
I find it a little choppy and abrupt… you dont have any secondary motion or if you do its too quick…
The model is great tho and your rig seems to work quite well!
props! (no pun intended)
I wholely (sp? too early) agree. Just a quick test. BTW how’s the weather in Montreal? It’s wet here in Vancouver (I’m about 1hr east in chilliwack).
Here’s an LCS…
LCS 01
LCS 02
LCS 03
LCS 04
LCS 05
LCS 06
Again, rendered with Lightwave’s fake GI lighting trick.
I was setting up the LCS and thought I would add all the lights. So I had to check to see if they work for a night time setting. PLEASE comment. I’m not all that great at lighting. They are just a quick render with Fprime.
LCS night test 01
LCS night test 02
LCS night test 03
I’ll be doing some quick water texturing and setups here over the next day or so.
BTW. It’s just a lighting setup with no GI.
Wow, this is looking very sweet.
I see your using FPrime?
Are you going to animate the water in native LW or use something like Realflow?
I have no idea how to use RealFlow. It’s all native LW and cloth simulation here. Hopefully I can make it work. It really comes down to the texturing, and particles of the water. I’m starting my tests today/tomorrow.
Okay, I’ve done 3 test renders with Cloth Simulation and need some basic feedback on what looks the best or what I need to change.
You need Quicktime 7 as they are encoded H264.
1 and 3 may look the same, but they have different depths for the waves. Of course, the simulation will take place over a distance of 500 metres.
And just for fun, the night time scene with the SH-60…
Hover Test
Hi, I’d love to see the clips, but all three pages crash instantly in my Firefox as well as Internet Explorer…
Anyone else have these problems, or is it just me…?
Cheers,
I liked 3 the best, seemed a better scale for a large ship
I had problems with crashing firefox and IE too, still haven`t seen the hover clip because of this
Hmmmm, I assume that you are running QT 7 right? I’m not too sure about the browser thing, but I’ve encoded everything into a MP4 codec and have titled them appropriately, so…
wave test 1
wave test 2
wave test 3
wave test 4 - long without boat
And the Hover Test
These are the last 2 tests for the bow wake. They are 2 slightly different items, but I think that this is it. Give your opinions.
That’s great, nice wace there! ![]()
Cheers,
BTW: yes, I do have QT7, and the new clips work just fine.
Quick question, does anybody know of some mpg resources of a helicopter flying over water? I want to see how the air and water is affected.
