this was fun to do, first time I do something like this.

video composed on AE, audio and editing in premiere, 3Ds Max for modeling, rendering, particles.

I finally done. It takes me about 30 h of work (including render time ~15h - Ive a weak computer ;)) All mesh I done in max and next I compose it in Afx. Ive started work to late and I haven`t done all the things wchich I planned. There are some errors but I hope You like it

Here’s my entry, took me one month, on and off, to finish everything from previz to compositing. Suppose to be a hybrid entry, yet due to time contraints I have only managed the exterior. Thanks to Roberto for the free music link :wink:

Everything, except sound effects and music, were done by me.

Modeling, animation and rendering in Lightwave3D, textures done in Photoshop and compositing done in After Effects.

PS: Can anyone please tell me how to get rid of the black outlines around the castle? The RGB pass was rendered to TGA32 with alpha channel, but somehow the composition lost its transparency supposedly due to one of the layers, therefore I had to use a travelling matte in the final composition to make the background transparent, then I get this dark outline.

Onix: Great work, I like it, maybe need more work on the camera animation, nice Vfx, and excellent ending.

Kieran Ogden: I can not see the castle, the main objective is to show the castle with a lot of enviroment Vfx. I see you work on some Vfx, but the castle is on the background, try to use animated cameras like Onix or Dexter.

Marcinek: Nice model, but you must check your camera’s animation curves, try to adjust the curves to avoid the robotic move.

Dester: Nice work, Excellent camera animation, the Vfx are good, In your post you said you have problems with the alpha mask of the castle, to fix that you can render just the objects that you like to be masked using a white flat shader (like maya’s Surface shader), and all the others with a Black one (in maya: black surface shader or the use backgound).

Good job for all. Hope to see you in the nex contest!. :thumbsup:
