FXWARS! Flying Car, rasher73, Freeform

Hello CGTalk Community,

this is going to be my first competition on CGTalk.
I really like the theme about flying cars.

So, here is my idea…

I like to go back in time to a Person who made Cars affordable for any of us,
Henry Ford and his T-Model.

I´m going to model a Ford-T with wings and Turbines/ Propeller drive.
For that i like to create an Enviroment, something like a testing place, where the engineer´s do flying tests/ or an Airfield.
The animation is about the cars first fly or/ a flyby animation on the airfield.

I hope i can finish this and wish all contestant´s good luck and a lot of fun.

Here are some renders from my Ford T model.

I made a few look&feel test about the final color, black and white.
The final version will have some more cables, vents and stuff.
Maybe ill put the Hoover Engines from the Matrix ships on…
So the Story could be, " Breaking News…Our Engineers discoverd a technic to let things fly without having wings…" or so.
I like to make a little News Movie as seen back on the 20-40´s.

Have you animated a transformation from regular to flying car?

I like the idea and the wings look funny on it :slight_smile:

Hi Doerge,

cool that you like it and yes i animated the transformation.
I show it next week if the car has become its final details.
I am not shure about the engine, propelled or not, thats the question :wink:

Hello CGtalk community,

havent posted for a while…

reason is, i am very unsatisfied with my current work on the Ford thing.
So i decided to do something else and i did :wink:

Please take a look at my new stuff, all created this week.

The story is about a Guy who comes home from work in Candyland…?!

hehe, this is looking great.
the animation is nice and the overall look is also very sweet. you might want to play around with the blacks in the image though. It could be, that not as dark shadows could make your image even more appealing. also for my taste, some of the colors could pop out a little more… love it! :applause:

Hi everybody,

i am sorry i could not finfish my animation.
As usual my job is the “Bad dude” :wink:
I just had no time to finish my stuff but i try to finish it…

I enjoyed watching every final.
It was great to see how the work progressed from you guys,
so every final entry is my favorite…

Wish i could be in the finals but, maybe next time.

Ahh was looking forward to yours! You should finish it, it was looking very fun… maybe do the animation short and post it on the forums?
