I haven’t commented on any of your works, because you’ve always seemed a tad more frightening than your pieces to me. Anyhewt, wanted to comment on this one.
The buildings look a bit flat, as if they’re just cardboard cutouts sitting in the background.
for all the detailed work you put into that billboard (which is just sublime, I’m loving her muscles, eyes, hair, and expression), the zombies seem to just be blah, especially the guy with long hair who sort of resembles you, and the chick following behind him.
Anyhow, mikey like zombies, and overall I’m liking this thus far, I suppose paintings in some way are never really finished.
hah, right. how can an angel be frightening anyways, u done something bad?
excellent critics again, the buildings are suchwise cause i seen it in photos, just
rows of walls standing up while the rest of the buildings have collapsed.
Admittedly i overdid it .
Yea the pic started as just the ghoul lady, i decided to make her just part of a bigger
pic later on.
I know the zombies too, they seemed so much better thru the mind’s eye, I wanted them
so much cooler, but had terrible troubles putting my mind in the pic focused enought to accomplish more
went to see some relatives today, here’s a set of pics, a brick wall from Helsinki
railway station, my other bro Kai with the tattoo I designed for him a few years
back, same dragon pic hangin on a wall in my mom’s house, mom’s cat, my bro’s
new 9mm, he’s taken to Practical Shooting, which is runnin around gun in hand
in different situations shooting targets, and my aunt with the same gun. She
had some real crazy looks to throw with the gun in hand but wouldn’t pose them
for the camera, u don’t know what u missed.
hey Squib! Nice to see some work from you again! Really love the lighting in this, though the zombies all look white haired, which is cool. Is the foremost one you? It looks a bit like you… and I agree with benita… go get a portfolio!
And oh my… long haired man with a gun… swoon
grins nice piece of hardware, what kind of gun is it?
Excellent work, the zombies are very well painted! I agree with cypherx about the buildings though. You could also contrast a little bit the ray of lights coming from the lamps (make them lighter at the top). Everything else looks just perfect!
Great work!
ElFuego - hey dude, nice to see ya, i saw u hangin around on the gameart wip forum
and forgot to drop u a note askin wassup n stuff
not HL2 dude, Fallout 2 . And Megacity 1 would be more futuristic and have more metal
walls, except the covered up parts of the old city
Lucashenko? I only know alexander lucashenko, hehe
Lemog - always good to see u buddy, thanks for dropping by
ps. my net at home got disconnected 2 days ago for reasons unknown and this
morning my puter shut down because of overheating and so now i’m typing
this at work and i dunno when i’m gonna get to post again grr
oh well, luckily plenty other stuff to do on holidays, sometimes i almost forget, hehe
Interesting game I bet… Nice start, looks a little flattish though.
I’d also squeeze the composition and up the contrast, since it’s night an all. Did a quicky to test it, see for yourself. Basically the perspective draws attention to the foreground/middle of the picture, where you could put the closest by zombie or something.
I’d work on the anatomy of the zombies a bit more, especially the zombie girl, she seems to bricks for breasts.
Looking nice squib… things like this make me realise why i dont date blondes… morning breath that hurts… bad bad complexions and the whole munching on the wrong head… Bad Girl… stop it… thats better… ahem… lol
Keep at it chappy, no real crits from me… maybe later when im able to think past the bacon cooking downstairs
nah , the pic’s pretty much how i wanted it, the foreground zombies should be just
part of the mist there and not stick out that much, and they’re supposed to wander
about aimless sorta and not come at u like all dorky like ,heheh. sorry buddy.
i agree about the anatomy tho, i worked on it so much already, sumthins just against
me in that in myh hed, prolly dat pillar lady…unghh
still , no net access @ home , had to visit workplace again to type this.
hey look what i found on my keyboard at home, it’s stuff like this makes u wonder
if it’s a real world eh?
little sumthin, practice work, a friend at work suggested playin around
with the color dodge brush. I had a ref pic for the girl (yea it might not show much ).
The pic’s called “Friday Eve”, not many parties around, she’s having a little
time to relax for herself in the post-nuclear world
that’s incredibly awesome! fallout is one of my favorites too. Ever play the classic it’s based on (wasteland)? not as visually cool (it’s old), but alot of fun!
very nice. you just brought back memories… i remember my character surviving huge dozes of radiation and getting the “mutated” trait. along with huge pluses in the attributes. best game ever.
