I’ve successfully uploaded my final trailer and final video. I have yet to uplaod my “making of”. Is this a rule breaker?

We’d rather the trailer and making of - most requirements are not deal-breakers, they’ll just count against your over-all chances.

hi i posted before about upload problem , i thought problem was solved , but its not. Yesterday i asked my friend to upload from his computer, it worked well .

Before, i uploaded from my compoter exacly same file types ect… and worked well , only difference is category choise in challange uploader. I tryed today upload final full video, making of and trailer as separated videos and after 10 tryouts, trying on other computer with different system many times as well i couldnt upload any of videos . Is it problem with my net provider and data base in final video category ? some java error ? this is very very stressing situation when i try put final work on time and something not work and dont know why

EDIT: right now herq77 told me its probably problem of java and 64bit- system… and probably some instruction dont work in Final Video category in cguploader on my system wich are both 64 bits(on one comp vista on other wind.7 ) … and he uploaded files with no problem because he have 32 bit system.

I had no problems on Vista 64 Business (Java 6, Update 17) during the challenge, so I guess it will be something else.

It’s likely something else - unless there’s a bug in your particular version of 64bit Java - as I can work things on Windows 7 64bit. Java was chosen because it’s a universal target, one piece of code works on Windows/OSX/Linux 32 and 64bit.

If you’ve got a solution, go with that, even if it’s a little inconvenient - you could try running Java on a VM through VirtualBox or similar which would let you run on a 32bit build.

As we’ve had some issues with some people uploading videos, I’ve opened up submissions for an extra 24 hours.

This extension is for the submission process only which is why there was no warning, if you’re not done by now, I can’t help you, but if you’ve had some issues uploading, well, nows your chance.

Yesterday i deliver the three videos, but today i’ve been reading in the threads, about to we must deliver the three videos in one, I reread the instructions and it seems that i´m not understand very well, so i will reupload the full version with the three videos in one, I hope this not harm my participation.

EDIT: i will arrange upload 3 in one video just in case. I will not change videos of course in any way - only 3 in one video.

3 in one is preferred - it makes judging easier, but if it’s all there, then you’ll be ok

Oh, I just remembered something else I was wondering about.

It didn’t come through anywhere(not under the “Rules”, neither under “Deliverables”, that there’s a size limit for the finished videos. Is there any? Saw that you can’t upload anything larger than 50MB with the CGuploader(portfolios), but that doesn’t count with the ChallengeUploader for this contest, right?

If your are right Noukah ( and i’m thinking you are…) i spend lot of time finding the good bitrate data and compressor to compress in flv low rez format with poor quality of sound and image …

I’m not speaking very well english ( as you can see ^^ ) and that me who tell her she have to put her video in 50 mg …

I find the explication of the 50 mg when i clic for the first time on the challenge uploader help page to know what kind of format i have to post. it can be confusing …

I was working in 1080p format, and i wish to give my entry as i can see it at home… and my friend , djo, did a colossal work on the score music , and in flv , the quality of the music is very poor…
and i can tell you , 2 month of intensive work every day, in adition with our full time job to give our best , and at the final , i give you a very very poor quality less than 50 mg , it’s boring …

SO, i hope i was wrong for Noukah and others who send 100mg file

and i hope ( dear santa) you can ask us to send you REAL HD FORMAT!

If you want i put a 720p version the 04/18/2010 same version as my final entry on my personal website here and you can download it …

sorry again for my english ( who are as poor as my final video on quality .)

You can post the work in progress images in your personal page or facebook but you cannot post the final image. Still, there’s no problem about posting a link to your thread. This info was posted here before and I was careful to read it before I posted on my FB page as well

I was worried for a second, as I’ve already put my final image only personal web site.

To have the image printed in a publication makes senses with a competing publisher with ballistic. But there is no way a artist personal web site is in direct competition

Just wondering, I have been looking for the results date for the competition on the site, but can’t find one!!! Just want to know when we can expect to know the results for the B-Movie image category? Is it after the animation is finished too?

Hi, I posted this a while back, and since then someone else has also asked about when the results will be announced, I think it’s only fair that we at least know when we should expect the results especially after all the hours everyone has put in to create their artwork. I’m sure other people are eager to know!
