I finally had some time off, So I started a freehand model, low poly, sea creature, almost bird like, one reason for this model other then fun, is I wanted to learn how to do Alpha Maps, as you can see I have many flat plane areas, which are to be the fins, I figured this is perfect setup to learn about alpha maps, All I need is a little light to show the way…Im using Maya5.01, and I use Photoshop7 for texturing, If anyone that uses those in their pipeline please share some wisdom, I would be very greatful…
At this stage, Im about to stared UV editing laying them out…Then I will started painting the color map side of the texture, and hopefully someone can help me, I will do the alpha map, with some success, well thats the plan…
