Free LW Video Training: 7+ Hours and growing

Well…There are now over 10 hours of new training videos for you guys to dive into to over the holidays. I’m off to the next items on my massive “Things I need to accomplish before 2008”. Be on the look out for some new LightWave articles, and more goodies.

Next year expect a whole new batch of training videos and other things I have cooking :slight_smile:

I have quite the list growing so dont worry about running out of things to cover.

I expect to see lots of cool posts with all these tools and techniques being used…let’s see how far we can take this stuff!

I’ve been trying to find this tutorial: http://www.eyelandarts.com/tut/pinarrays.html

I found it ages ago, it shows a different approach to creating a pin animation &, in my opinion, a much simpler one. Obviously it doesn’t use nodes but I can’t see why you’d need to 99% of the time.

You dont have as much control with this setup…try this setup with a pin object and you’ll see what I mean…
Cool tech tho…I have the NewTekPro where it was first shown!

I haven’t had a chance to try either yet but I can see why your setup would offer more control, especially when replicating a real pin object as it actually moves the pins. I just thought that it was a neat way to tackle a similar problem.

Great video’s BTW, I’ve learned much more in a few hours than in years of reading books & magazines.

Hey Proton love your tutorials man!!! just wondering if theres any possibility you could make a brain wrinkles tutorials as I am currently going insane trying to make a human brain. There is one tutorial floating around on the internet but it dosnt go into enough detail for me to follow. Anyway, I would be forever in your favor and include you in my oscar speech cheers man.

I think it’s a great idea but I dont havethe time to upload 191 videos of more then 24 hours to youtube :frowning:

Just to say THANKS to proton for such a great resources. That should be delivered with every new LW on DVD to help new users.

First…
Proton should be awarded LW hero of the month? year.
Outstanding clarity in how he talks and goes through the introduction videos, so easy to follow
and it´s very pleasent to hear his voice that instructs in a very continuos flow.

Second, perhaps all those videos could be in the list together with the other videos from newtek, I don´t think they are?

and last…Im not really so fond of the looks at the Newtek tutorial section, when they did
a make over and divided it in to frames that I have to scroll through, I just don´t get a
good oversight over the tutorials, I prefered it the old way.
Nothing wrong with the tutorials thou.
