Ahem, am i to understand that it is impossible to post an image directly into the post, without using some third-party hosting service ? Why is that so ? Okay, each user on cgtalk have a certain amount of disk space for attachments, so why cant i upload an image directly using that same space ? Does what i am saying makes sense to anyone ? :slight_smile:

Hey, um, Iā€™m new to CGTalk, and Iā€™m also interested in Visual Effects and Motion Graphics, Iā€™m going to college and Iā€™d like to learn 3-D character modeling. This is very interesting for of art, and Iā€™d like to learn more. Does anyone know of any software that I could get to start learning how to do this? I do use Photoshop, but Iā€™m pretty sure that Photoshop has nothing to do with this - itā€™s on a whole new level. Can someone help me out?

BTW Most ISPā€™s come with a few megs of disk space so you can put a few pics up on your own page for the most part.

As I understand it youā€™re supposed to be able to upload images to CGTalk if youā€™re a member with more than two posts cleared, rather than having to host it someplace else. I cleared two posts days ago and still havenā€™t been given the option of attaching image files to my posts? Are the administrators normally this slow to manage the accounts? Itā€™s pretty frustrating- I should have had my entry into ā€˜The Journey Beginsā€™ challenge more than a week ago.
