Forest Landscape tutorials for Painter - request

#1

Hi,

I’m looking for Forest reallistic Landscape painting tutorials for Corel Painter. I’ve found quite few only. I’m interested in a climatic fantasy forest and in the dark forest (that light comes from the background, among the trees). Mainly I mean SPRUCE or PINE trees, not leaf trees. So it would be great if you showed me some links about tutorials for the entire forest background or just painting a single Spruce tree. It’s a very specific tree and it’s typical for European mountain landscape, with a delicate branches so it’s a playing of light and shadow.

A random google spruce image of the forest in my country:

Never ever forest background caused such a big trouble to me heh. Leaf oak forests are easier to paint. Now I want to improve some skills and I’ll be grateful for any kind of links to tutorials (but please, don’t post www.gardenhose.com - it’s really not my thing, I prefer soft gentle painting).

I’ll be grateful for the help

Best regards,
Nellis

Not everything can be covered in a tutorial, to become a better artist, go out and draw trees, visit forests, take photographs, anything can be drawn, but to do it well you need to understand what you are drawing, like i said go out and sketch, its the best way

I asked for a tutorial. If there’s none, I know what to do. I’m not a newbie at all. First forest useful to me is in Germany. I see you’ve never been in the Netherlands. There are no such forests, only leaf forests looking like parks. Simply said - I asked for a tutorial, coz i’ve got a full time work, can’t have a free day like you to go to Germany. greets

calm down will ye, its only a fu*@K@** forum, what makes you think i can wiz off to germany at the drop of a hat, if i needed to draw trees i wouldnt be asking on a forum, use your initiative,
for a start find refrence material, do you have libraries in holland

If you are not a newb, then you should no better, you have as much chance of finding a tutorial as anyone else, there are no shortcuts

if this reply seems harsh then tough, i resent being spoken to the way you have written in your reply!!

I didn’t mean you can wizz off to germany or something, so you should calm down not me. I only described you the situation in the country, the enviroment and the point i’m a busy little bee - let’s say like this. there’s no need to be offended or something coz i did it calmly. If I considered your infos useful, I would have used them, really. But as I say - it’s hard to find such forest here and it’s better to paint from nature of course. So stop insulting me anyway. I didn’t insult you but u seem to be abit too emotional and you acted in a rude way on just a calm comment. Greets anyway.

Stop depending on tutorials.

DRAW WHAT YOU SEE.

Hard work, no lazy work.
