For Sale Animation Master Bundle

#1

Hi everyone I am selling off a bundle of Animation Master Stuff as I am swapping to another program due to using that program in my animation course. I don’t really see myself going back to AM after my course is finished.

Anyhow the bundle consists of: Animation Master 2004 (CD, manual, 3D glasses, original box)
Animation Master 2002 Book by David Rogers
AM Technical Reference V11 Book
Jeff Lew Animation DVD
Set Up Machine 2
Anozvin Training including
Secrets 2002
Secrets 2003
Non Linear Animation
Model a Face
Rigging a Face
Animate a Face 1 & 2
Mastering materials 1 & 2
Quickstart 2
AM in Live Action 1 & 2

Asking price is $450 US + $20 postage for overseas buyer. Postage for an Australian buyer will be less. Also if you are a student I may be able to come up with a better deal you must be able to verify that you are a student though.

This is a great deal for someone wishing to get started with Animation Master anyone interested can contact me by private message here, at the AM Hash forum or by email.

If you can’t see the photo of the pack here please email me and I will send it to you it includes everything except the serial for Set Up Machine 2 as I’m not about to post that.

Thankyou

For some reason the thread has been taken down at the Hash Forum not sure why so interested parties will have to contact me here or by email. I am open to offers as well as I really need to sell this to buy my student copy of the other program for my course. If there are no takers I will put the bundle up on ebay in a couple of weeks.

Cheers,

cem

there is an auction for 2004 on ebay at the moment and its getting a lot of interest.

The Hash forum is heavily censored. They will not allow any negative posts, direct or indirect, about A:M. Selling A:M would be considered a negative and therefore removed. Also not allowed are the mere reporting of bugs you come accross on the forums. They will be deleted also as being considered negative. If you want to report bugs Hash states you need to e-mail them. This is one reason why I like this forum much better than the Hash forum.

wow, that is a lot of stuff. I don’t see it as being negative just moving on. Wow!! that is a lot of stuff. I wouldn’t mind buying some in peices and such.

wow, hashes censorship seems abit strange.

I remember asking what the benifits of AM over XSI where and how exportable the animations where to a gaming engine. Could never find the post again, must have been deleated.

I think that kind of censorship hurts Hash more than it helps them, becuase I didn’t get an answer I went to XSI.

Good luck selling, try putting it on ebay if you don’t get any custom here

Funny how the “censorship” argument keeps coming up every few years. Back when the forum was a mail-list, there was a big blowout a few years ago and the response to it here on CGTalk was epic in length. Toward the end of that really long thread, I thought Victor Navone made the best points about Hash’s regulation policies:

http://forums.cgsociety.org/showpost.php?p=354541&postcount=163

and

http://forums.cgsociety.org/showpost.php?p=354905&postcount=183

let’s not forget this one, too:

http://forums.cgsociety.org/showpost.php?p=356436&postcount=227

I can’t really add anything to what Victor said.

Yeah I’m not sure what the problem was when other people have sold AM on their forums before maybe it was because I’m selling quite a bit I don’t know.

I don’t have anything against AM it’s a great program but where I live in Australia the CG community is quite small tiny actually and if I want to get work without having to move interstate, I’m going to have to go to one of the more well known programs. If AM was more compatible with the polygon programs maybe I wouldn’t have to but this is unlikely to happen any time soon. I originally bought AM to work on my own animation shorts which it is great for but now that I’m doing this course and hooking up with others who have the other programs AM just doesn’t suit my needs anymore.

I’m just a little unsure of the ebay thing as I’ve never used it before but if there are no takers here I guess I will have to look into the ins and outs of it. So anyone have any tips for an Ebay newbie.

Cheers

It’s cool, that horse has been road to death, taking off comments.’

I haven’t left A:M just yet, only the future will tell. I’m going to learn what I need to learn. Maybe even relearning how to model in splines.

I do think A:M should add some more modelling tools, maybe include Sweeper in the next version. Great program.

that was cool lafnjack. I understand what you are saying.

I think every program has it’s good and bad points.

It’s own wishlist.

Own strenght’s and weaknesses.

It’s elitist’s and its casual user.

It’s cultist followers and it’s haters

I personally have one complaint and only one. I think any program, art peice, tool, or product is open to both bashing and praise. NO one should truly take offense.

To me A:M is like a Honda Civic, affordable. Great gas mileage, nice looking, and for a little money I can get the extras DVD player, disk changer, sun roof. A:M is like a Honda Civic, I can get a lot for my money.

Other programs are like a Jetta. It is more expensive but has the V6 I want. Being more expensive I can’t get all the bell’s and whistles as I did in the Civic. I can get my v6 but cannot afford the rest.

However I can continue wishing I had a V6 in my Civic. How is that going to hurt Honda?

A:M is just like that. I wish I can get my Poly’s in their but can’t. I can go for the Jetta, but will not have all my bells and whistles.

Either way I do have a good car, just wish for the extra speed. So either way I have a good program but will always be left wanting, just with any product.

Hey Flog, I’m going to spin this off into a new thread, okay? I don’t want to hijack this one. There we can talk about this.

Ebay’s great for the wise seller. If you have buyers that don’t have much history then that’s a red flag for you. I’ve been trading my softwares there (Lwave/Hash and P.shop mostly) for more than 2 years now and luckily I haven’t come across deadbeat bidders.

:wise: My advice: proceed with caution

Just an update

Looks like I’ve scored some 3D freelance work for a new business opening up near where I live so I’m going to be hanging on to the bundle for awhile longer. I’m not comfortable enough in using the new program yet and theres no way I’m going to risk using the edu version for payed work anyway. The cost of the new program is also way out my budget at the moment so for now the AM bundle is no longer for sale. I may put it up again the future but now somehow I think it’s going to be worth hanging onto it for doing freelance work on my own.

Sorry if this has caused anyone inconvience and I apologise if it has.

Cheers,

cem
