congratulations to Germany. All the way to this tournement they have been written off and here they are in the semi-final. All due respect to Italy (who I think will go through tonight) I don’t think they will have the fire power to trouble this German side who now have built up such momentum.

Nitin, I agree with you on the changes, they were REALLY bad.

Argentina had way more chances in extra time, and the 90 minutes (tryin to be objective) wasnt really for any of both.

I have to say I’m really mad on the referee. It was insane how many chances he cut for Argentina.

Germany wasnt creative at all, and it was kinda funny to see Ballack almost couldnt make it to the 90 minutes after listen him sayin so many times how physically superior they were.

The match wasnt clearly for any of the team, and it was decided by lotery. We lost, too bad. Life goes on! :smiley:

EDIT: forgot to say. Ballack was chosen the player of the match? Is this true?

the game was distressful as usual…
and i even like the two teams that were playing so, for me, it should be a win-win situation but no!!! Football is all about suffering :twisted:

I just heard - there’s a major doubt about Christiano Ronaldo for tomorrows matc (being English it wasn’t exactly bad news for us over here!) he is definately not match fit they were saying and could be a doubt…hope he’s fit for the start of the season though!! (Does anyone know anything about him leaving United and gping to Madrid??)

Argentina was dominant in the first half of the game.
Then right after they shot their goal, Germany was way better i think (at least for the next 15 min). After the 1:1, i think the teams were equal from the point of strenght.

I feel sorry for Argentina, they really played great games and its sad that such a great team dropped out.

I actually think we’re going to win tomorrow - with Gary Neville being passed fit and Lampard back too - I think we have a little too much for the Portugese - particularly with their squad being so stretched with injury and suspensions.
As for sleep depreivation I’m MIGHTY glad we arrived back in ENgland from 2 years in New Zealand a week before the world cup started!
I predict a victory for Italy tonight - can’t see Ukrane troubling them - don’t think it will be a classic game but have to watch it keep my record of not missing a world cup game (on TV mind) since 1986!

Germany’s lucky though, if Argentina’s goalkeeper wasn’t out because of the injury, things might go differently, but that’s life I guess… luck’s just as important as skill.

In the extra time, Germany just seem to run around with the ball not doing much while Argentina was more aggressive.

edit: there was a little face off between Ballack and an Argentinian player, Ballack was in his face. That was before he pretended to dive holding his face or something. I don’t see him being player of the game.
