for a VFX artist is this enough !

Hello to one and all. am planning to learn animation and have done a some of research. and getting confused what to do. i want to specialize in VFX and searching for a good school/college so far. but what i got, are little expansive.

Z-brush, maya, mud-box, TopoGun, UVLayout and Mari, Premiere pro, Photoshop, flash, softimage, nuke,

Are this software’s used in the industries ?
Is knowledge of this software is enough for a VFX artist ?
is it worth learning them ? or i have to see something else.
is there any good school that you can recommend me, In Canada. where i can learn VFX

Where are you from in Canada? You can go to Vencouver VFX School. Or you can register some professional tutorials sites on network. This is best choice for me… I am living in Turkey its so hard for me. Therefore I join on web sites…

You say you want to specialise in VFX, but VFX is really an umbrella term that encompasses numerous disciplines - concept, matchmove, roto, modelling, texturing, lookdev, lighting, animation, DMP, FX, compositing, etc. People would ordinarily specialise in one or two of these disciplines, so I’d advise you to pick the ones you enjoy the most and focus on those, first and foremost.
