So that you could twirl down an arrow and see a container of layers on your timeline? Nope. You must work with precomps/multiple timelines.

yeah thats what i was hoping for. i wonder if they will ever add that as a feature.

yeah, don’t hold your breath. I find it mind boggling that there is no folder option like there is in Photoshop. Precomps are all well and good, but folders would make things SO much easier…

I cant even begin to imagine why they are still not adding this feature…As far as im concerned, it is the biggest flaw that AE has.
Makes NO sense.

Umm, no. Unless you can provide a more detailed description of the functionality you envision, such comments are kinda pointless. You know, there’s a reason for pre-comps beyond organizational aspects and frankly, even just for that, I wouldn’t wanna dream of having to organize some of my several hundred layers projects in the shitty PS (or Motion, for that matter) layer group way… At best it should be an option, but not replace an already existing feature set that works well enough under most conditions.
