flash and multiple monitors?

#1

got some contract work coming up for demo done in flash to run on a system in the lobby of a office, on a very nice 3 monitor system, showcasing the studios web and print design. i have yet to get the system in to test the three monitor setup, and was trying to do some research to help me beforehand. i have little experience with multible monitor setups, and i was wondering if anyone has ventured down this road with flash before.

i dont think i will run into a issue, but if any of you flashers or multible monitor peeps forsee something i dont, let me know please. if not, cool. thanks for your time.

Wow, sounds like a pretty cool project. I’m not quite sure how you would handle it, but maybe just make one giant wide flash movie and use your video monitor software dual monitor handling. Problem is, you’ll need an absolute beast of a cpu and some pretty decent ram to run three mointors! eek!

yea the plan is a pretty beefy machine. thats exactly what i was thinking however, useing all three monitors and just sizeing the movie across all three full screen. as sooon as i get the hardware, ill test and let you guys know, it should be pretty interesting.

Take into account that if the monitor’s frame is quite big, its not very helpful to stretch one movie across 3 monitors as it will seem to break between each monitor.
If you’re asking about setup, I have the timeline and workspace in my main monitor (facing me) and all the panels and actionscipt window on my second one.
