guys can any one help me out in WAVING a flag in a png file…
i.e., i have created two png layers…one is the flag layer and the other is the flag pole layer…when i add the ZAXWERKS effect to the flag layer, the flag starts to wave, but the effect tends to separate the flag from the pole…have ATTACHED the video …pls have a look…
pls, can anyone help me…

I haven’t used ZAXWERKS effects myself but the way the flag is moving, it looks like there could be some dead space around the flag in your PNG. Does the flag graphic in your PNG touch every edge of the PNG? It should not have any transperent background around it.

Another idea, just from the way the flag moves - it doesn’t seem to be attached to anything (it drops down with gravity?) - is it attached to the flagpole within the plugin. Maybe try to get it working with one of their pre-made flagpoles before adding your own.

Hope that helps.

thanks for your reply TJK,
i will explain the whole thing…
1] first, i got the render sequence images(in png ) of the flag n the flag pole n the environment separetely. we couldnt render it together cos the file was too heavy for the our system.
2] the task assigned to me was to animate the flag.
3] so i placed the flag layer first and then flag pole and finally the environment.
4] when i tried to apply this zaxwerks effect to it, the effect got imposed on the whole composition, which eventually makes the flag look like it has been separated from the flag pole. But, wat i want was, that the effect should get imposed only on the flag alone, which dint happen.
Is ther any way to animate this flag???

here i have attached a flag animation with the same effect wen it is applied to a jpg. pls have a look at it.

hi guys,
in order to solve the above issue…i i took the flag sequence into a separate composition, made it to animate and then replaced it with the original composition…as the sequence moved on, i positioned the keyframes of the animated flag accordinglly…might sound silly but the project is a bit on emerency terms…
