Fixing Six Sided Poles...?

As you can see I have six sided poles in my hand topology. I’ve heard that these are nasty, can someone tell me how to resolve the six sided pole that I have outlined? Or…would this be necessary?

Is this meant for a game engine, a sculpting program, or are you leaving it in your 3D modeling app for some raytraced renders?

You have side by side triangles there. Removing the edge in the middle will give you a 5-sided pole with quads.

There are other ways to redirect it of course but that gets you out of it.

Ideally you want polyflow to move with the contours of the hand. Just depends on what kind of detail you are going for.
