Hello all,
For a self chosen class project, I decided I wanted to try out a quadruped rig for the first time. I’ve been working with the same rig all semester, and have basically had to restart twice due to my lack of experience not only with complex quadruped rigs, but as well as with animating all together. As of now, I have a basic blocked scene done that I’m sticking with that I will show below.
It is very rough. And I have been having issues with posing Nico, the rig. I have been using great danes as reference since they are tall and elongated, but his hind legs have been proving to be a challenge. Apart from overall complexity of the rig, I am finding deformities that I can’t explain as of right now.
You can see in the playblast when he stands up, a leg twist deformity. However, in splined mode, it does not show up that way, it is properly posed.

Overall I will take any advice for this project, as well as over all work flow etc etc. I am open to anything, any help would be greatly appreciated, or suggestions as to what is going wrong with problems I am having. Thank you all so much for taking time to read my thread.
