Finding 3d Animation School

#1

Hi, I just need some help here. I’m a Asean student that graduated in Graphic Design School but I’m interested to study in 3D animation and plan to go overseas. There are lots of schools and choices. I just wondered which one will be good for me. Can you guys can recommend me some?

There’s a lot of threads about schools on this forum, and not many are all too informative save a couple. They end up being too biased and opinionated to be taken seriously. Here is a list of 3D Animation schools put together by a forum leader.

Keep in mind that he’s not saying anything for or against the listed schools. In fact, there are some down right aweful ones in the list; and others that are very highly respected. I’m not going to tell you which ones you should concider. Going to any one of these schools is a huge commitment, and in the end you need to find the best fit for your needs.

I guess one way to judge the quality of a school is to look at the instructors. See if they have industry experiance, or if they went straight from school to teaching. Take a peek at their past work. Also, look at the student’s work. Sometimes you can tell that you’d just be wasting your time if you went there.

I wish you luck. I know it’s a hard decision as I’ve gone through it myself.
