Hey thanks so much my friend, I’ll for sure check that out, such a nice reference, Marek Denko’s work it’s GREAT, by the way on the scene, I’ll post an update tonight, not on the shore but on the buildings.
Fiat 124 Special
Working on the first building on the town, the roof, doors and texturing it’s not finished, but this is how’s looking right now, comments are more than welcome, thanks for all the help guys, your words have been so encouraging and useful.
Nice update.
That building fits in seemlessly! good job so far.
Can’t wait to see all the buildings placed there and rendered from a good angle.
In that Marek Denko article he also mentions how he shaded his buildings in his scene will be good to read to maybe imrpove or do a final touch up of all your texturing and shading once you’ve finished the modeling.
Keep the updates coming.

Thanks so much mate, tomorrow I will check that article from Marek Denko, I have to sleep right now, have to wake up early, thanks for the kind words and for the info.
The building in progress is already very good… you can continue in this “good” way :applause:
Thanks so much Lemog, it’s great that you like it, I’ll keep it, today I’m planning to finish this one and begin with another.
Update on the building, just some more work on the roof and the ground level and it’s done.
dude this is amazing job , the render looks photoreal , but whats that in the fore ground ?? is it water ?? :argh:, i think its the only thing faking the scene , look for a reference to help u make it real too
, but again great job  , keep it up
Hey man thanks for your kind words, yes it’s water, uhmm I think the shader it’s good by now, maybe could be the angle that makes it look weird, don’t know anyway I have to check out cause you are saying it, thanks again.
Looking real good…
I think the only thing left with the water to be done besides of the wet sand, is transcluscency…
Yeah man I totally agree, I will work on that, I already made a translucency map but didn’t work, have to work some more on it to achieve it, thanks for your suggest.
First building modeling done, some texturing of the building itself and will be ready to roll, comments more than welcome.
Hey man , the new building looks great.
My only crit is that it is way too clean , adding some dirt marks , peeling paint , maybe rust streaks from the pipes. It feels too clean for me
Other than that its looking pretty cool man
Yes mate, well the texturing it’s the only thing left to do, Oohhh and a drain pipe from the roof to the ground and that’s it, thanks for your comment man and for the sincerity.
No need for a map, the transclusency of water is relatively consistent. Consistent enough for just a number…
Make sure that the geometry you use for the water has volume though, if its just a plane, it will not work properly…
Wow you are riiiight, I forgot about that man, thanks for the tip, didn’t think of that before on water, thanks mate, I’ll give a try right now.
I must agree with Christopher… for the moment, it’s really too clean… and in too good state…
…no time to continue with another building ?
Here are your wishes my friends, a dirty building haha, it’s just missing the chimneys on the roof and it’s done, there are the main shapes of the new building upcoming and a new shader on the water, don’t know why it doesn’t rendered the bump, have to check that out, comments, suggests, questions would be more than welcome.
Thanks for the comment man, well now years, dust, sun, people and water had been leaving it’s mark on the building, the Unwrap it’s misplaced so have to fix that, but overall looks like this, by the way my time it’s tight right now, but I’ll find some free spots to work.
The building and water it’s less green (thanks to comments from other guys), and update on a new building.
Nice you find little time to work on it… these new details appear very clean for the moment… maybe you must modelize less clean and less right to already obtain before texturing something more old and more alive, not ?
