Well I think I had better get my modelling skates on now that we are a 2 men down. So here is todays bit of fun.

This was going to be the driver but he might be too lanky, I need to try him in the car first I suppose. Anyway I started him and kinda liked him so I decided to finish him. Not like I spent days on him or anything so if he is not used then it’s no biggie.

Still no mouth but unless he needs one I probably won’t bother.

Looks like the name change is not helping my animation skills.

Maybe he could use a bit fatter arms, but that is just a nit pick.
I think the style matches fetch because of his head to torso size.
And the mom should be close in proportions.

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the feedback :slight_smile: Been messing about with modelling this fat kid and for some reason I just can’t get it to work the way I want it. Either way I have came up with something. I am messing about with different things so I dunno if he is of any use. But for the moment I am moving on because I am not getting to far with him.

C&C is especially welcome as it might help move this guy on. Or if you think he is OK then happy days. Sometimes just the fact that you keep looking at the same model is enough for you to not like them.

Anyway here he is:

I will move on and try someone/something new here so I don’t get bogged down with this guy but any feedback is welcome.

I´m not a modeler… nor a model =P… But, If I had to make a critique or comment… I would say that the hands look a bit realistic compared to the rest of the body…

=P Other than that… I like it =P

I agree with Della.
Maybe no finger nails, maybe smaller hands over all but not thinner.
I think his cheeks need to be softer…
What I mean is that , under his eyes there is a line or groove.
It looks good but should fade as it goes to the outer side of his eyes
at that point his cheeks should fill it out… don’t know if you see what I’m saying.
Over all good stuff. Feel free to move on put him on the server when you had enough of him.
So what’s next for you ?

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the feedback, I agree about the hands I think the loss of the fingernails would be enough. I don’t know about making them smaller but I will try it and see how it goes.

At the moment this guy has no mouth so i need to add that.

Also do you want me to model eyes for him? they are just spheres at the moment but that might be enough for them, no point in adding a lot of geometry if it’s not needed.

I have modeled a mouth for the driver so I will get him ready and put him on the server soon.
Let me know if you want eyes for him as well.

I will update you tomorrow with the kid changes.

I might give the mum a go if I can get something down for her. You have a sketch done so I wil use that as a basis and see how it goes.

If there is other stuff you need more urgently let me know.

Hey Guys,

Just another update. The kid has been simplified in the hands and shrunk a little. The face smoothed out a bit to make him a little chubbier and he has a mouth.
The driver has a mouth and I did a very quick little morph to show it.

Both models are up on the server in OBJ format. Let me know if you have any problems with them or you find anything annoying. A lot of my models don’t make it past the T stage so my experience with them from that point on is limited so any feedback is welcome to help me move forward.

Also, will you be animating the faces of these guys? If so is it a rig? or morphs?

OK so here they are…I will maybe go back to a prop or two at the moment, my Character gland feels a little burned out with the fat kid…still not 100% in love with him, but I guess he is cute enough to go and he is only an extra so I don’t feel as bad.

Will update you again soon with something else.

Hey Guys,

Well today was not much of a modelling day, was just taking it easy. So i thought I would mess about with the skinny guy :slight_smile:

Slapped on a quick bit of texturing (procedurals) and a quick rig and posed him.

Just for a bit of fun and also to see what he looked like outside of the T because you never get a feeling for them in that position.
