Oooh, you’re sooo close but you’re going backward as far as the foot swing.

I can see it in my head and I can even do the kick in real life.
I want to video tape myself doing it, but I would have to go outside
and I need to get a video cam to do it… It would take me a few days to get it.

But I tried to compare both of your last ones instead.
So even if you don’t get to update it before you go away.
You can get an idea of what I’m trying to show.

I think the video feedback for ideas is great, obviously great for you guys involved on the project, but great for people like us that sit and watch the progress, it makes it almost interactive

Jayreef.
Ha, yea you had me scared for a bit… I was thinking that the thread got shut down LOL:curious:
Or maybe it was some sort of a holiday prank :stuck_out_tongue:

Since I’m here …
Wanted to let everyone know I just did some voice recording of the boy.
I just came in from my sisters house , you know the Holiday thing…
And decided to kill 2 birds with one stone and got my 11 year old nephew to do the boys voice.
Didn’t really get a chance to sort it out yet… but will let you know.

Enjoy your holidays everyone

#526

Looking forward to hearing the voice acting

merry christmas to the team aswell

jozef

#527

so, the kid talks? cool,
I watched the video, and I have no idea what are you talking about:shrug:
I´m going to wait to see your super-kick.
Have a good time all of you,
see you next year!

#528

Merry christmas everyone!. Mr. O just doesnt stop working, even on xmas day!

#529

Well the kid does not really say much more vocal reactions to what’s going on.
Laughing and yelling and stuff…

Juan, I’ll shoot the reference video for you tomorrow.
It should be up by the end of the week , unless I get hurt doing it LOL :scream:

I started working on shot 4.
Nothing big, but felt like to post something.

WOW you guys have made some fantastic progress on this, Big O you have really done a great job staying on top of all the great work coming in and keeping everything moving forward.

Sorry for not being around as much, as usual work and life has taken priority over the past couple of months and my motivation for 3D is little to none at the moment. However, I am glad to see things are moving along as well as they are and I will try and check the thread a little more from now on and throw in my two cents every now and again

Anyway just wanted to say congrats on all the work done so far and I am looking forward to seeing more and maybe even helping out again.

Cheers and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all

#531

Hey Mr.Walsh :wavey:
Good to have you drop in and to let us know you are still alive.

Juan:
Okay, here is my attempt at doing the kick reference.
I put on my fancy bright shoes so that you can see my feet.
I did one version with a voice over and the second version
is a quicktime so you can scrub it if need be.

Hope it clears things up a bit.

happy new year team  hope we all get better and let it be better year :bounce:

#533

My new year present lol just couldn`t begin the new year without modeling heheh
what do u think guys ? which one is better ?

#534

I guess you are the first out the gate for the new year.

Nice model, over all it looks like you have a good scale.

My comments are more based on the style.
You need to round off your edges and corners.
Of course it can be used as it is, but I’m just trying to push you a bit
to help you improve your skills :arteest:

The best example that I can give you is when Jozef
stared to model the main house he used very sharp angles
just like what you are doing now, so if you follow
his progress you can see how his style evolved
to the final softer/rounder look.

#535

I think I got ur point  wait for more :bounce:

#536

what do u think now ?

#537

Better, check the size of the window to the size of the door…
The window looks a bit big or the door is too small.

Still need to round out you corners/edges , if you remember what you had to do
for the street post ?
http://forums.cgsociety.org/showpost.php?p=4039583&postcount=424

If you don’t get what I mean, use mesh smooth and it will smooth out
your edges for you…

And maybe you should show a lager render so we can see the model a bit better.

Don’t forget you can also use the fetch space to post your images if

you need more web space.

#538

ok but should I make the door bigger or the window smaller and for the corners I will see what
I can do :bounce:

#539

Hhhmmmmm, good question … :hmm:
Maybe the window smaller.

If you look at the window in the door then look at the window beside the door
There is a major scale problem. so the window in the door may also have to be bigger.

Happy new year, guys:wavey:

I´ve been struggling with the kick. I had to adapt the video stuff to the kid, with his huge feet and trying to fit shot05 begining.
Still has some biped crap in it, sliding feet and popping hands ( I guess it´s my fault, I wonder what the hell happens…:banghead:

Shot 03 super flying kick
