Hey guys, due to me having a bit of time to kill over the last few weeks I decided to start modelling a female head due to me only having done male ones so far. I’ve been working on it here and there over the last couple of weeks and I’m now at the stage where most of the groundwork is in place and now I have to do endless tweaks.
For no particular reason I decided to use Scarlett Johansson as a reference after watching Lost in Translation, some of the ref images I’m using can be seen here:

So far I’ve pretty much got the base topology nailed down (I decided to go for pure quads this time - this is a right kerfuffle :?) and now I just have to go through each feature and tweak it for a better likeness. This is the first time I’ve ever tried to model a real person and it takes a ridiculous amount of tweaking.

Absolutely everywhere still needs work but the main offenders are:
Ears - placeholders cannabilised from an older model, looks terrible where it joins the head, probably need a full remodel
Neck - haven't really looked into this yet, too small at the mo
Eyes - god eyes are *hard*, loads to do here
Nose - I can't get the nostrils to flow right at the moment, its been bugging me for a while
Cheeks - She has quite prominent cheekbones in real life but I’m having trouble with mine, at the moment they look too ‘chunky’
Lips - Botttom lip is just about ok, top lip and in particular the filtrum needs some TLC
Oh and I need to model the interior of the mouth including teeth and tongue
I’ve stupidly taken pictures which are from similar (but definitely different) camera angles to the reference images, this kinda makes it hard to make comments on an accurate likeness but if anyone has any feedback then that would be great.
