Female Body (some artistic nudity)

#1

After I got good at hard surface modeling, it is time to face all my fears and start with organic modeling. I don’t really want to be character artist, but those skills will be handy in future, and it is quite a big challenge for me.

It took me several tries until I was happy with each part of body, for example it took me 7 times until I got those breasts round, smooth and realistic shape. That left me with quite nasty topology, but I will have to go through zbrush pass to add details, like ribs, muscles etc…

I know it has many mistakes, topological and anatomical but for first organic model it is better than I expected, in future I will make better plans for topology and edge loops.

PLEASE IF YOU KNOW SOME GOOD ARTICLES/TUTORIALS, ABOUT BODY MODELING IT WOULD HELP A TON. Something like this >article < I found about head/face modeling.

I did some progress, mostly back and lower part of body. I also tried skin material and basic lighting.

I’d say you need to model it into separate pieces, i.e breasts, ribcage, pelvis… so you undestand how forms connect with each other.

Was the topology adjusted to achieve specific detail? The form was pretty on point but I can see a couple of areas where your topology can be done better. Also the muscle detail on her back is a bit of.

Yep, there is two bulges below the scapula that dont really make much sense, take a look at this muscle illustration for an idea …

And you should work more on the lower bit… right above the gluteus maximus generally there is two little dimples where muscles from above conect into the area. (very attractive in women as I find) … dont forget that detail.

Thank you for feedback, I guess that it will be better to throw it in zbrush and sculpt out the details there and also retopologize it.

maybe I chose too hard subject as my first organic model, but still it looks better than what I expected, some blobby mess

I did some update on legs and arms, and I am aware that arm muscles are waaaay overdone, it shouldnt be too hard just to smooth it out a bit. also feet will need some more sculpting
