Something that occured to me while thinking about the coolness of armatures…

There are already screen armatures in the program, i am experimenting with them to control my camera… I will update you on my progress.

So anyway, as im examining the armatures it becomes apparent that really, alot of functionality from the program could be added entirely via armatures, allowing me to completely get rid of the side bar in alot of occasions. Im wondering, wouldnt it be cool if the entire program was based on armatures? IE, tabbed armatures, armature window floaters. etc.

I love how easy it is to edit and setup armatures, it would be awesome to be able to fully configure and rearrange the entire program interface this way…

I realized that while working through the manual. The nice grouping armature tutorial. Really you can basically do this already. I do wish the interface was a bit more customizeable, but that would probally require a huge amount of coding. I think it will be awhile until we see that.

not really. they still need more refinement, here is what i setup to pan the camera.

I cant make it look around or zoom for some reason. Seems like armature priority isnt sorting out. And if you try to look around using the rotation controls, WORLD coordinates apparently dont work, as i suspected.

I tried using a separate item tied tot he armature and then constrain the camera to it, but it would just refuse to work.
