Fair with procedurals ???

#1

Hi everybody,

Does anyone knows how to do a fur looking surface as realistic as possible with just the use of
procedurals and weight maps?? It is for a class project and we are not allowed to use anything else.

I appreciate any feedback.

Thank you

1/ displacement fur:

If you can’t use displacement, then you have to do something with spinning mesh and pocedurales in world coordinate on its transparency channel.(Another way is not using spinning but a lot of transparency maps.)

Hi Tais,

Thanks for your reply,

The link it is very useful but we can’t use the displacement. Can you guide me to any tutorial how to use the multiple transparency maps approach?

Thank you,
