Eyeon Fusion

#1

Anyone here knows eyeon fusion? I just got familiar with it, and I am quite clumsy with gathering my render passes. Anyone have a screenshot of a good way to set up the composite with a character, placed on an image with shadow pass, ao passes for both ground and character, reflection pass etc. I am very confused with the merge nodes and where to put the different passes outputs. :sunglasses:

there is even a dedicated fusion forum here at cgtalk

can you tell me a exact list of passes you have? the i can help you setting them up

from your first description i would think of something like that

This is very good news for me:-D

The passes I have rendered are: color (character), AO small for character and AO big for character. Reflection pass and shadow pass. There is also a AO small and AO big for the ground.

When I add the AOs the character and BG gets too dark, even if I set the multiply mode. I haven´t used physical sun in the scene. Should I use that?

Thanks for great help!

dont know what big and small AO is but take care that AO is always on a white BG. because if you multiply everything with values lower than 1 will get darkend (1 BG * 0 FG = 0)

for the other parts i would go like in my example flow and kill off the stuff you dont have

I forgot to thank you for this, I haven´t tried this out yet, but it seems very understandable, thanks:)

Oh, if you are still in here, how do you get those nice straight lines for the setup, is there a shortcut for doing this to make the scene cleaner?

#7

i’m used to set my nodes to “snap to grid”,
right click in the flow view -> arrange nodes -> to grid

the rest is self organisation and keeping stuff clean
