EyeEye

This is just a really quick rough test to see if I could create a model in ZBrush using ZSpheres, sculpt and texture it and then drop it into messiah to animate and render with displacement. The model is crap, the texturing is unfinished, and the rig and animation is as rough as…but it all seems to work great

What shaders are you using? Looks pretty neat anyway:)

Heh, thanks Nichod. It’s really simple -

Colour -> colour texture map and a bit of greeny yellow camera driven fresnel
Diffuse -> used the displacement map
Displacement -> displacement map and a bit of small noise added to break up the specular (although I think I turned the spec value down before rendering so you can’t really see it).

The eyeball is the Dolls Eye shader with some noise plugged into the colour and a bit of camera fresnel in the reflectivity.

man that is nice.
SWEET and simple.

I find “it” really cute

Very nice  The ’ spring ’ between its ankle and toes as it walks is a nice, subtle touch.

Nice work! I love these little doses of inspiration

Thanks for the comments guys

The thing that struck me was the amount of creative freedom we have now, you can quickly knock up characters just for fun without getting too bogged down in the technicalities.
