Exporting Vue6 terrain in .3ds problem

Hi guys

i created a simple terrain and i want to export it in 3ds format with textures.
When i export to 3ds it always create a low resolution mesh. In exporting options it says estimated polygons 133000 and everytime it creates a very simple mesh of 10000 polygons.
When i bake to polygons then it exports the mesh with correct polygon count but when i export it with textures it breaks my mesh in multiple pieces and the texture mapping is so wrong. If it try to fix it by welding vertices etc then ALL HELL BREAK LOOSE lol.
Same thing when i export to .obj format…
Even inside vue when i bake to polygons it cant apply texturing correctly…

WTF is wrong with this software ? I dont want to work inside vue cause renderer and interface sucks bigtime.
I got some psychological problems too after spending some hours working with it. I am afraid to click anything cause i think it will CRASH ! Windows95 !!!
