Exporting from Vue - UVs broken after displacement?

#1

Hi
On complex objects in Vue, I’m finding the UVs/color texture maps get messed up upon export after displacement and baking ploys.

Simple example:
Create a default sphere and put a simple procedural colour on it.
Export sphere with colour map.
Everything is OK, clean UVs on sphere and clean colour map.

Now add displacement bump mapping to the material, and then Bake-To-Polygons.
Now when you export, both the UVs and the colour map are broken up and distorted, and crucially, in a way that they don’t even match, so the result of applying the colour texture is a random mess.

Has anyone else noticed this?
Is there any way to export a displaced/baked object with a colour map cleanly?

Thanks

Steve

I’ve only had luck exporting plants that are grown in Vue, for rendering in other apps. Altering an object in Vue destroys its mapping from what I can tell.

Thanks. Yes, further experimentation seemed to confirm this so I adopted a different workflow. Cheers.
