Export -> 3DS

If i have an object that was joined with another via Bridge, exporting to 3DS leaves the “bridged” vertices unwelded. For example, i have a head and i modeled the ear seperately. I bridge the ear to the head. When exported and opened in 3ds, the verts involved in the bridge are not welded and the head and ear act as seperate elements.

Is this a bug or did i miss something?

Are you sure they are welded? Check in the geometry window. You could also try the cleanup command before exporting and make sure the whole obect is either smoothed or unsmoothed.

As far as I know, the bridge command has nothing to do with it. It’s something to do with mapping. I recomend using fbx.
