I assume this is a wip, since the trees aren’t so worked out yet. To me it seems like a picture of the view of palmtrees under a moon lit sky. I’m sure you can make a nice picture of this, but if you mean to evoke a reaction, you have to add a story/special details otherwise it will just be a nice picture of trees.

So, what do you aim for? Because the way it is now, i don’t think it will evoke a lot of emotion. What feeling do you want to give people? What was your idea/feeling behind this picture?

hmm, I really don’t feel emotions here, sorry. You just set a mood. It is like this is a part of another larger picture. WHat I especially miss here is a main object. It is unsatisfactioning. It is a good start though :slight_smile:

yeah I think it works as a composition in terms of evoking emotion but giving it a figure would maybe help to bring out the feelings your looking for

well, I would say that the palms set a mood of sorts, like they would be the backdrop for something else. The dark purple and the night sky gives a romantic feel, romantic mood. They don’t really provide a subject though, which is where the weakness lies. I could easily see this as a backdrop for a CD cover or something… “Romantic Melodies” hehehe
