Error importing audio into MotionBuilder

#1

I cannot import any audio file in MotionBuilder.
When I go to File > Import Audio… and select an audio clip, I am getting either unsupported error for .wav

or

for everything else (.aif, mp3 etc.)

I have Windows 8 (64-bit) and MotionBuilder 2012 (64-bit).

Is there a way I can solve a problem, or at least find some information that would lead to solution (like a log file).

I’ve also had problems in the past with mp3’s and i never fixed it, but i can use wav’s without a problem. I tend to import them using Story mode by inserting an audio track then importing there, but file > import audio should also work the same as all audio should be visible in the Navigator anyway.

Try importing audio using some of the examples in the complex tools folder (as I know they definately work for me):
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\MotionBuilder 2012\bin\config\Scripts\ComplexTools\AudioTrackSetupTool

If they don’t work then try contacting Autodesk
It might also be worth checking your preferences that audio is enabled (im sure it will be anyway).
